I’d be willing to bet that 90% of you didn’t even know that Black Widow had her own theme. Which is strange, since this cue plays over most of the important scenes with her in The Avengers (2012).

The theme is very mysterious, exhilarating in parts, and has an inherently European sound to it, which makes sense, as Natasha is Russian. Unfortunately, the theme has not reappeared since then, even the composer who wrote it; Alan Silvestri, didn’t reuse it for Avengers: Infinity War (2018). UPDATE: Silvestri brought it back for Avengers: Endgame (2019), much to the delight of fans. With a Black Widow movie gearing up for production, maybe they’ll bring this theme back.

The track at the end; ‘Natasha’ by Henry Jackman, from Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), is not even really a theme, as it doesn’t play more than once in the film, and mostly just seems to be a rearranged version of Cap’s theme. But as it is called ‘Natasha’, and it fits her character, I thought I’d use it.

The songs used in this suite are:

Interrogation - Alan Silvestri
Red Ledger - Alan Silvestri
I Got A Ride - Alan Silvestri
Natasha - Henry Jackman

The clips are from ‘Iron Man 2’ (2010), ‘The Avengers’ (2012), ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ (2014), ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ (2015), ‘Captain America: Civil War’ (2016) and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ (2018), and belong to Paramount Pictures and The Walt Disney Company respectively.
