This is my 6th Brian Tyler composed suite in a row, so I think it’s time to take a break from his work for a while. Although Tyler co-scored the film, it was Danny Elfman who composed this particular theme.

Wanda Maximoff / the Scarlet Witch was introduced in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and was originally on the side of the villain Ultron, alongside her twin brother Pietro / Quicksilver. The twins, who are from Sokovia, a fictional Eastern European country, were given a very European sounding theme by Danny Elfman. Which developed from sinister and dark, to somber, to heroic. Like Wanda’s character.

Although the theme could arguably be ‘the Maximoff twins theme’, I’ve opted to settle for it being just Wanda’s theme, as it is used when she is on screen both with and without Pietro, whereas it is never used for Pietro alone.

The songs used in this suite are:

Can You Stop This Thing? - Danny Elfman
Ultron-Twins - Danny Elfman
Inevitability-One Good Eye - Danny Elfman
