At Zócalo's 12th annual Book Prize event, winner Heather McGhee discussed the themes of her book "The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together" with moderator Renata Simril, President and CEO of LA84 Foundation.

During her lecture, McGhee shared that her hope in a more equal America stems from the stories of communities creating political, economic, and social change.
