From the DGA Archive: a conversation on the art of directing comedy featuring Amy Heckerling, Garry Marshall, and Rob Reiner.

As part of the DGA's 75th Anniversary celebration, Heckerling, Marshall, and Reiner shared insights and anecdotes about their classic films including Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Pretty Woman, and This is Spinal Tap, respectively. They also talk about what inspired their directorial choices and how to properly find the comedy within a given scene. Director Shawn Levy moderated the discussion.
