In this episode, we build the first prototype Enterguise art car for Burning Man 2015. We start by sourcing lithium ion 18650 cells from used laptop batteries, build the battery packs and electronics. Then we construct the frame with aluminum extrusion, build a custom steering solution with go kart parts and test the motor gear down. Finally, add the LED lights around the saucer with diffused polycarbonate plastic, program a touch panel for controls and give it a test run. After its maiden voyage into the Burning Man playa we return it home for a decommission.
