Reviewing the Amazfit GTR 2e smartwatch, one of the best new watches launched at CES 2021 and an 'Essential' remodel of the original GTR 2. I've been testing the Amazfit GTR 2e for over a week so here's my final verdict on the battery life, apps and fitness tracking smarts. This fresh wrist rocket cuts back on some of the previous gen's functions, such as the music storage and built-in speaker. As a result you get a more budget-friendly price tag, but a similar design and most of the best bits. The Amazfit Watch GTR 2e is certainly packed with all of the standard fitness functionality, including heart rate tracking, SPO2 measurement, and exercise support. You even get a new temperature feature, also introduced on the 2021 GTS (full review of that bad boy coming soon).

Some aspects of the Amazfit GTR 2e could use some love, including the notifications alerts and the teeny settings screen. Still, of all the smartwatches I've reviewed under £200 including the Huawei Watch GT 2e, this is one of my favourites for its long lasting battery and sleek design. Plus, that OLED screen is rather tasty.
