Welcome to the final question in the client segment. We've been asking questions about your clients to get a better understanding of your business and we're down to one last question.

The sixth question has a sales angle to it. What’s your new business win rate - We need to know your batting average when you have the opportunity to win new business. How many potential clients do you have to contact and get in front of to win a new client?

By asking this question I start to circle back on your understanding of your clients; I’m digging into your sales process and how good your sales effort is; And I’m picking up some more knowledge about your product and how well it solves your customer’s problem.

If you have a good understanding of your clients and your potential clients then this makes your sales process more efficient; If you're getting in front of the right kind of potential customers and your message is well targeted then your win rate is better; If your sales team really understands which problems your product or service solves then you'll close more clients.

This question is important because it helps add clarity to many questions in other areas of your business. Maybe you’re great at adding clients at a great profit margin but they only hang around for 6 months…
Through this question I'll circle back to how many clients you have,
I'll measure the size of your sales effort; and I'm looking for discrepancies in what I find.

You'll remember the first question in this segment when we talked about how many clients you have in relation to your profit margin. This newest question helps us get a feel for your chances of recovering from losing a client.

The answer to this question will lead us to other questions. Maybe you need to improve your sales message. Maybe you need more prospects in your funnel. Maybe your offer needs work. Hopefully, none of these things are an issue.

By looking at your sales funnel we learn a lot about several little pieces of your business.
