الحَدِيثُ السَّادِسَ عَشَرَ

عَن أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنهُ قَالَ، «كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي السَّفَرِ، فَمِنَّا الصَّائِمُ وَمِنَّا المُفطِرُ» قَالَ، «فَنَزَلنَا مَنزِلًا فِي يَومٍ حَارٍّ، أَكثَرُنَا ظِلًاّ صَاحِبُ الكِسَاءِ، وَمِنَّا مَن يَتَّقِي الشَّمسَ بِيَدِهِ» قَالَ، «فَسَقَطَ الصُوَّامُ، وَقَامَ المُفطِرُونَ فَضَرَبُوا الأَبنِيَةَ وَسَقَوا الرِّكَابَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّمَ، «ذَهَبَ المُفطِرُونَ اليَومَ بِالأَجرِ»

رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيُّ وَمُسلِمٌ


The Sixteenth Tradition

On the authority of Anas who said, ‘We embarked upon a journey with the Prophet ﷺ. Amongst us were those who were fasting as well as others that were not.’ He said, ‘We thereby alighted in a certain location, on a hot day. Those from amongst us who had a garment had the most shade, whilst amongst us were those who could only protect themselves from the sun with their hands.’ He said, ‘Those that were fasting fell down and those that were not fasting thereby arose and began to erect tents and distribute water amongst their fellow travellers. The Messenger of God ﷺ thereby said, ‘Those that are not fasting have taken all of the reward today.’
