Medical students donned their physician white coats in front of loved ones and recited their oaths alongside fellow students and faculty members. The white coat is an important symbolic step for medical students on their journeys to becoming doctors. The white coat ceremony is an annual tradition for first-year medical students that stresses the importance of compassionate care for patients and scientific proficiency.
