In this Video JJ with Merit Plumbing show you signs to look for that may indicate you need to replace your water heater.

Signs you may need to replace your water heater:
➡️Age-If your water heater is 10 years or older. Check the rating label sticker on the side of the water heater. Some brands will have the date the hot water heater was made written on the lable. Others will have it as either a letter or number code in the serial number. A quick google search of your manufacturer and serial number date code will pull up a website that will tell you how to read the serial number.
➡️There are rust stains on the exterior of the water heater.
➡️There is corrosion at the plumbing connections on the top or side of the water heater.
➡️You no longer get as much hot water as you used to or any other issue with the way it is heating.
➡️Rust colored water when you run hot water.
➡️Water at the base of the water heater and water in the pan.
