If you thought Richard Childress Racing's 2009 season was chaotic, you're in for a good one. The Robert Yates Racing team, led by Robert Yates and his son Doug Yates, entered the 2006 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series season with high ambitions and hoped to get both Elliott Sadler and Dale Jarrett into the chase for the cup. Sadler, in fact had made the chase in 2004 and was seen as the team's new superstar. Jarrett, meanwhile, was coming off of a win in the 2005 Talladega race. Couple that with the winning, it was easy to see why GM Eddie D'Hondt had strong ambitions. Ones that would go south in a HURRY once the NASCAR Cup Series season got underway. This is the Robert Yates Racing's Nightmarish Outcome to the 2006 season.
