More than a thousand students across Southcentral Alaska learned about meteorology this year from the KTVA Weather Lab!
Chief Meteorologist Melissa Frey along with Meteorologists Jeremy LaGoo and Aaron Morrison visited more than 30 schools, teaching kids about clouds, precipitation, weather instruments and what it's like to be a meteorologist.
When schools were closed in early March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, weather lessons continued from home. The KTVA weather team provided online activity guides, at-home weather experiments and continued to meet with students virtually.
