Hello everyone! Welcome to @AutoScholarwithMrB ! Today we are installing a trailer hitch on the back of this 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan Limited, but this will work on any Tiguan older than 2018.

This Draw-Tite hitch was installed in less than ten minutes and will be used for hauling bicycles with a hitch mount. Care should be taken not to exceed 3500 pounds of trailer weight or 350 pounds of tongue weight per Draw-tite. Volkswagen does not recommend towing more than 2,200 pounds.

Installation is a breeze, and these are the tools needed:
Razor for bumper modification
17mm Socket, extension, and ratchet
Torque wrench for socket

I am looking to add a wiring kit for this as well, if anyone has had any luck finding a decent kit, let me know in the comments!

Note: before I get comments about this, this is indeed a 2018 Tiguan Limited. The second gen Tiguan was also released in 2018 but they had a few first gens left I guess. It confused me at first as well but it is something that VW has done before.
