How To Make An Easy Plant-Based Pot Roast.

Typically a #potroast is made with beef or another meat, but in this video I show you how to make a tasty #plantbased alternative. Packed with flavour, this hearty meal was enjoyed by all the family.

Pot Roast
Ingredients
1 medium size red onion
2 - 3 cloves garlic minced
1-2 sticks celery
200g button mushrooms
1 tbsp Liquid seasoning
1/2 tbsp Liquid smoke
1 tbsp All purpose seasoning
1/4 tsp Celtic salt
1/4 tsp all spice (optional)
1 scotch bonnet (optional)
1/4 tsp jerk seasoning (optional)
400 ml stock
1 medium size carrot chopped
1tsp miso paste
1 can hearts of palm or jackfruit
3 medium size potatoes

Sauté the onions, garlic, celery and mushrooms until the mushrooms start to brown, add seasonings of your choice, celtic salt gives this dish a lovely flavour, definitely try and use some, mix occasionally. Add carrots, stock and miso paste make sure it is dissolved in the liquid. Transfer to a crock pot or slow cooker. Add potatoes, apples, pan fried hearts of palm and tomatoes, stir and cover, cook on low for about 1.5 to 2 hours and check occasionally to make sure the liquid does not dry out.
