In this video we show how to change the transfer case oil an 80 Series Landcruiser.
The video applies to all 80 series Landcruiser models, whether petrol or diesel and manual or automatic (FZJ80, HDJ80, HZJ80). The transfer case shown is HF2AV (August 1992 onwards, models with ABS), but the video also applies to the HF2A (Pre- August 1992, models without ABS).

Parts and Consumables required:
1.7L (with ABS) or 1.3L (without ABS) of SAE 75W-90 API GL-4 or GL-5 multipurpose gear oil
2x drain/fill plug gaskets – Toyota part no. 90430-18008
1x drain plug – Toyota part no. 90341-18057 (Optional)
1x fill plug – Toyota part no. 90341-18006 (Optional)
Paper towels or rags
Brake & parts cleaner or degreaser

Tools:
Socket set – 12mm and 24mm
Socket wrench to suit above sockets
Torque wrench to suit above sockets (14-22 lb-ft, 19-29 Nm)
Drain pan (Minimum 2L)
Hand pump bottle (e.g., STM Tom Thumb)
Flathead screwdriver

Recommended Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Safety glasses
Nitrile Gloves
