Liz Truss occupies what you would normally describe as a safe Conservative seat. Even current MRP polling suggests she would still win at the general election. However, a group of independent Tories, who have never appreciated Truss, look set to deliver a fatal blow to her. Caught between a credible independent group, and Reform UK, Truss may end up losing her seat.
