Great way to save $$ on hamburger is to grind it your self. The store had briskets on sale and I found a "leaker" (a meat package that has lost it's vacuum seal) and got another 30 % off. Yes I know not everyone will have an electric meat grinder. But Craig'slist if full of used hand crank grinders dirt cheap.
