Tricia, a tireless advocate for single mothers' rights during the 1970s and 1980s. Julie, who bravely transitioned from male to female in 1990, making history as the first person to do so at the ABC. Mal, who defied gender norms by becoming a nurse in 1977 when it was predominantly seen as a female profession. Ben and Roberta, an interracial couple who defied societal norms by marrying in 1969. Dally, a former priest turned civil celebrant who publicly criticized Catholic Church policies on birth control and abortion. Marcelle who became the first 'unmarried' woman to request maternity leave in Qantas. Bettina, who became the first sex therapist to openly discuss sex on TV. Andrew, a film and TV historian known for producing "Outrageous: The Queer History of Australian TV," a documentary on David's show “N 96”. Mem, who rebelled against the strict norms of her Catholic upbringing and Kate, who, at the age of 16, left home to fully immerse herself in the vibrant punk rock scene of Melbourne.
