I am finishing installing a new gas pipe for a generator. The gas pipe going into house to gas meter passed the air test/ plumbing inspection. Therefore I need to disconnect the test gauge. Then pipe the gas line into the generator. I put pipe dope to seal the pipe threads. The the threads are tampered. The pipe dope allows the tapered threads to seal against each other. Then I turn gas on and check for leaks. Afterwards I test the generator that it is getting gas. Finally I paint the gas pipe.
