Why Do We Believe A Last Days Invasion of Israel By A Number Of Nations Will Literally Happen?

This answer comes from our book 25 Signs We Are Near The End, Sign 9. In The Last Days, Certain Specified Nations Will Invade Israel (Ezekiel 38,39). This book is a free download on our website educatingourworld under the subject of Bible Prophecy.

As we examine Ezekiel 37-39 we find the following assumptions made by the prophet.

Assumption 1 The Nation Of Israel Will Exist In The Last Days

Assumption 2 Gog, With His Armies Will Come To The Land Of Israel; A Land That Had Been Ravaged By Wars

Assumption 3 The Promised Land Will Have Been In Ruins For A Long Time

Assumption 4 The People Of Israel, However, Will Still Exist And Be Numerous

Assumption 5 The People Of Israel Had Previously Been Scattered To Many Lands

Assumption 6 Yet, The People Will Have Returned To Their Ancient Homeland

Assumption 7 This Will Occur In The Last Days Of This Age

Assumption 8 They Will Return Only After Being Away From The Land For A Long Time

Assumption 9 The Desolate Land To Which They Return Will Be Restored

Assumption 10 Not Only Is The Land Restored The People Will Create Great Wealth

Assumption 11 When The People Return, They Will Form A State (Some Political Entity)

Assumption 12 Their Borders Will Include The Mountains Of Israel

Assumption 13 They Will Return In Unbelief In Jesus As Their Messiah And Remain In Unbelief

These are the assumptions that were made some 2,600 years ago when describing the situation with respect to the land of Israel and its people at the time of the end.

Did you notice anything special?

Yes, indeed, each of the 13 assumptions have literally come to pass. In other words, what was predicted by the Lord through the prophet Ezekiel, some 2,600 years ago, is precisely the situation that we find in our world today!

Do you think this was merely luck, or maybe good guessing? Perhaps a coincidence?

No! It is the Lord, the only One who knows the future, as well as the only One who controls the future, telling us exactly what will come to pass.

“All in all,” this is one of the many lines of evidence that the Bible is what it claims to be, namely, the Word of the Living God!
