Today we answer the Question, "Who Are The Palestinians?"

Basically, the modern day Palestinians have their origin late in the 19th century when harsh conditions forced people to move to the Promised Land for work. In fact a survey at the time noted that these workers, the Palestinians, came from the following ethnic groups. “Balkans, Greeks, Syrians, Latins, Egyptians, Turks, Armenians, Italians, Persians, Kurds, Germans, Afghans, Druzes … Circassians, Bosnians, Sudanese, Samaritans, Algerians, Motawila, Tartars, Hungarians, Scots, Navarese, Bretons, English, Franks, Ruthenians, Bohemians, Bulgarians, Georgians, Persians, Nestorians, Indians, Copts, Marionites, and many others”

Therefore, they were not Arabs who had lived in the land from time immemorial but rather workers who came in the late 19th century to work. Indeed, we have a quote from a Palestinian official in 1978 who admitted "The Palestinian people do not exist." Therefore, they have no right to the land.

In saying this, we want to make it clear that we are not saying that they are a “bad” people or that they somehow should be looked down upon.

To the contrary, like all human beings, they have been made in the image of God and are souls for whom Christ died. Furthermore, they have been abused by the various leaders in whatsoever land they have ended up in.

Therefore, any statements we make about their non-legitimacy should not be seen as personal attacks. Indeed, the author has met many wonderful Palestinian Christians.

As we have stated earlier, in Appendix 5, the Scripture consistently teaches that the Promised Land was given to Abraham’s descendants Isaac and Jacob, not Ishmael. There is really no question about this.

However, we live in a world that largely does not accept the Bible as the Word of the Lord. Therefore, it is not surprising that many buy into the “lie” that the Holy Land belongs to the Palestinians, and not the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
