About this film:
Filled with the radical political fervor of his times, lawyer Stephen Bingham’s devotion to prison reform came at a high price. Accused of smuggling a gun into San Quentin Prison used during a lethal 1971 shootout, Bingham fled the US. Catherine Masud’s documentary recalls a controversial case, a long exile, and belated exoneration.
