On average, Aussies are eating twice the amount of junk food, recommended by the Australian Dietary Guidelines. That's about 5 servings a day, which is only about a dozen cookies or biscuits. That may sound like a fun time but constantly going overboard with junk can lead to serious health problems down the line. The CSIRO says you don't have to cut out junk food completely, but it's super important to keep an eye on how much you're having and they've even launched a special junk food analyser on their website to help people find the right balance.

NASA HELICOPTER
NASA's Ingenuity Helicopter has survived its first solo sleepover on Mars! It was recently dropped off by the Perseverance rover and had to survive through the bitter cold of a Martian night, which can get down to negative 90 degrees Celsius! Now that it's made it through, it's one step closer to its historic first flight, which could happen as soon as April 11th!

HALLOUMI PROTECTION
The iconic rubbery cheese known as Halloumi is about to be given protected status. Halloumi's been a big part of Cypriot culture for more than 500 years, but anyone in the world can currently make it and sell it. The EU wants to give Halloumi PDO, so that only Halloumi made in Cyprus can be called Halloumi, kind of like how only sparkling wine from the Champagne region in France is allowed to be called Champagne. Halloumi made anywhere else would need to be called something different. The idea behind PDOs is to make sure the inventors of iconic foods get the credit & the money they deserve for their products. Right now, the change will only affect Europe & the UK to start with, but because of Australian trade agreements with Europe, supermarkets down under may start to see their shelves filled with delicious non-Halloumi.

YOUTUBERS GO TO COURT
American Twins Alex and Alan Stokes faked a bank robbery last year for their channel, but police didn't see the funny side of it and they were facing up to 5 years in prison. Instead, the pair admitted they were guilty in exchange for a less serious sentence.

EXPENSIVE MARIO
An unopened copy of Super Mario Bros just sold for a record-breaking $862,000, taking the record from another copy of Super Mario Bros. The owners said it had sat forgotten in their desk drawer before they sold it.

QUARANTINE COWBOY
Art director David Marriott has found a way to keep busy in quarantine. He turned his Brisbane hotel into a wild west movie set equipped with a cowboy hat, jacket and even a noble steed.
