The installation of Desso GrassMaster system is in its final stage at the "Arena de Sao Paulo" in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The stadium has been chosen to host the World Cup Opening Match Brazil- Croatia and will also play host to the group matches Uruguay-England, Netherlands-Chile, Korea Republic- Belgium, a round of 16 match and one of the semi-finals.

Desso GrassMaster is a hybrid grass system: a 100 % natural grass field reinforced by 20 million artificial fibres. The machines (protected by tents) inject the artificial fibres every 2x2cm about 18 cm deep into the soil.
