I hope that you will learn from the mistakes that I made retiring at 33 years old.

Early retirement can seem like a dream come true. I know that it was for me.

From the time I was small, I dreamt of living a life of leisure on a beautiful deserted island somewhere. Pina colada in hand, soaking up the sun, living the dream!

But the reality was very different.

Having gone through it I can say for certain at least a few things.

1. Live your retirement 'dream' BEFORE you work for decades trying to achieve it. This means to go and do 'mini retirements' in the places or lifestyles that you think you would enjoy.

I got this one from Tim Ferriss. Unfortunately, I only learned of it AFTER I had retired. Big mistake for me.

2. Don't anything, but you can't do nothing. Doing nothing is the dream for many but humans are not meant to live that way. You have to be productive or you will be miserable.

3. Develop a purpose for your life outside of your work. Often people work their entire lives with the hope that once they retire they can just 'stop'. Stopping work is fine, but you need to developed meaning in your life.

I am happy to help you pursue your goal of early retirement.
