Anyone familiar with modern Japanese fiction will be familiar with the Isekai genre, or other-worlder, where socially awkward, self pitying, game addicted children are transported into a fantasy world in which they are given incredible magical powers and asked to save the world from a great evil.

These children always rise to the challenge, become uncharacteristically self-motivated and self sacrificing, and with the help of two or three incredibly hot super-powered women, inevitably fulfill their destiny.

But is that remotely realistic? Probably not. So here is the story of the True Isekai, a young man by the name of Justin.
