In this video, which is somewhat different from the previous ones, we are talking about our 6-day trip to Warsaw in Poland, where we attended an excellent conference called Railway Direction Days 2023 in the organization of Centralny Port Komunikacyjny or CPK!

Namely, we began our trip on Tuesday, 17th January at 5 am from Belgrade. We arrived in Warsaw at 10 am the next day via Budapest Keleti and Vienna Hbf. In the meantime, we used a van, changed a few long-distance trains, saw the metro and the urban rail systems in Vienna and Warsaw, and even experienced evacuation from the station in Vienna due to a false bomb alert. It was not easy, there were several delays, and almost missed connections, but on the other hand, we met some fantastic people, gained some new perspectives and knowledge, visited the Technical Museum of Poland, had some great food, especially in Warsaw, and many others.

At the conference, we had the opportunity to hear many interesting railway stories, to get to know the STH project better, but also we managed to do our first exclusive interview for the channel with CPK’s CEO. And, one of us even had the honor to participate as a moderator in one of the panel discussions on the topic of innovations in rail.

Our story is split into two videos: this one, representing a trip report, ie. part from our departure from Belgrade to our arrival at the conference in Warsaw, and the second one, representing a conference report, which will cover our experience of the conference, our exploring of beautiful Warsaw, some great people that we met and food that we had, and also our visit to the Technical Museum of Poland in Warsaw!

We are doing this for the very first time on the channel, so we indeed hope that we will manage to share with you at least some of our experiences from this memorable journey!!
