I had the honour of performing alongside Gareth Malone and his band at 2 venues in the Sing-a-long-a-Gareth 2 tour this year with my choir, Sing Space. As a disabled performer I thought my days of big stages were behind me but this opportunity has reignited my passion and shown me performances like this can be accessible to disabled singers. This year has been a hard one for me and for the world and has been full of dark days so although this is not a song I would've chosen for myself to sing I am so grateful to my choir leader for encouraging me to learn it and audition for the solo and to Gareth for trusting me with it because we really do all need some Brighter Days.
