Walking tip to actually improve ☝🏽

If you want to get better at something, more isn’t always better- especially with osteoarthritis 👀

Continuing to flare up your pain but pushing your distance when your joints aren’t ready can actually make progress harder 😵‍💫

Instead- walk the distance your joints CAN tolerate then add in an exercise or two that helps to practice getting better at walking- like shown in this video ✅

For example, if you can usually walk about 10 minutes without significant pain during or after, use this as your walking time. Then, before or after your walk add in 10-15 repetitions of this exercise on each side. It doesn’t have to be immediately after or right before ☝🏽

This way you’re helping to better prepare your joints without making them mad 😡

⚠️ Remember: Please use support as needed when attempting this exercise to help with balance and stability.
