Roll call for the "one-room journey" of Lady on Chestnut: Abner the pheasant? Here! Queen Victoria? Yes, she makes a cameo. Susan, the russet-colored spaniel? In attendance. And of course our incredible guide, homeowner Lee Ann (tailed by Spencer, whose little bell you can hear jingling now and again). Welcome to the parlor at Lady Chestnut, a magnificent Queen Anne home that Lee Ann and her husband, Justin, are filling with treasures to celebrate their own style as well as the history of "Lady C," as she's affectionately called. Bookcases hold Lee Ann's collection of spaniels (each has a name!), the "Dr. Pepper rug" protects the wood floors from four-legged Harper and Spencer, and the walls are graced by mementos of past residents of Lady C -- including Auntie Della, whose florals Lee Ann has framed! And it's all anchored by the STUNNING fireplace and mantle. Justin, we're all still waiting on confirmation for that birds-eye wood! Is it hickory? Is it maple? Inquiring minds want to know. Thank you, Lee Ann, for inviting us all into your home (and, of course, for teaching us the art of the #bigassbun).
