Dr Elmar Kal & Dr Adam Lewis, Senior Lecturers in Physiotherapy at Brunel University London, discuss open research principles.
Dr. Elmar Kal discusses open science research principles, emphasising transparency, collaboration, accessibility and also open research tools. He explains how open research can revolutionise knowledge sharing in various fields.
Dr. Adam Lewis explains a project investigating whether singing can benefit balance.
They also discuss their future projects, including the use of Virtual Reality (VR) to safely create anxiety in the study participant by giving the perception of height. This enables the relationship between balance and anxiety to be studied.

The principles of open research discussed are widely applicable, far beyond the field of physiotherapy.
