The challenge is Islamophobia! From the presence in the media, subtle
sometimes, explicit at others... we are portrayed negatively almost
everywhere. There's a huge misunderstanding of Islam that has become
conviction in the minds of many, leading to hate and fear. This hate and
fear has lead to so much pain... violence against Muslims, to the rise of
the far right! This fear and hate is fueled by special interest groups that
benefit from this fear and hate... How do we deal with this? What
concrete steps do we need to take? What fields of study should we
study? What education should we seek? What professions should we be
involved in? Why? Should we simply cocoon? If not, to what end? Is it
possible to uproot Islamophobia?
