How much power do you need? You'll want to match the RMS power rating of your amp to the RMS rating of the speaker. You can ignore "peak power" specs, they're just a marketing term and don't really mean anything.

Impedance is another important consideration. You need to match up impedances to ensure the proper amount of power is being delivered to your sub.
