I've been using this service for a while now, so I've gotten pretty familiar with all the ins and outs of it. Overall, I've had a great time using it! The food has never let me down, and everything has always gone pretty smoothly. So today I’ll be covering what HelloFresh is, who’d benefit from it, how it works, all its pros and cons as well as my final thoughts on the service as a whole.So if you’re unsure whether HelloFresh is the right meal delivery service for you, this video will help you out. So for starters, what is HelloFresh?HelloFresh is a subscription service that delivers weekly boxes with pre-portioned ingredients and rotating recipes for either two or four servings. The boxes include all necessary ingredients, instructions, and nutrition information. This has saved me a lot of time by eliminating the need to pick ingredients or search for recipes. HelloFresh also simplified my cooking experience with their easy-to-follow instructions cards and their trusty companion app.With HelloFresh, you can choose a plan based on your household size and meals per week. The company takes dietary restrictions into consideration and offers full ingredient lists online. Meals are delivered with flexibility to change, skip a week, or cancel anytime. I’ve found their delivery to be very reliable, and the 2-person plan has been cost-effective since I can save time by keeping a portion for the following day. Hellofresh also takes weekly feedback from users to improve their recipes and stay up to date with food trends which puts them ahead of their competition. While using this service, I discovered a new found passion to try new dishes every now and then, and since I got to keep the recipe cards, I added elements I found delicious in these recipes to other meals to make things more exciting. Their seafood options are also sustainable and environmentally friendly. The Ingredients I received were almost always top notch condition with some rare times where I got slightly wilted veggies.And it's worth mentioning that HelloFresh minimizes waste by providing pre-measured ingredients for each meal, resulting in low waste rates in the manufacturing process. Their FSC certified paper packaging is also recyclable, making it an eco-friendly choice if you’re conscious about their ecological footprint. Now when it comes to the experience, the HelloFresh box included labeled instructions for the entire process, with tips for recycling packaging and storing ingredients. Also, the box always contained ice packs to keep ingredients cool in case I was not there to pick it up.While some users criticize HelloFresh's pricing, claiming that buying ingredients separately would be cheaper and provide more servings, I personally found the convenience of the service to be worth the slightly higher cost. With HelloFresh, I skipped 80% of the work and was able to try new dishes that would have taken a lot of time and effort to prepare on my own. Plus, HelloFresh frequently offers promotions that can make it more affordable so overall I consider it great value for my money. Also, HelloFresh has faced criticism for delivering ingredients that are sometimes unusable. While I have not experienced this issue myself, if you do receive such ingredients you can contact customer support, which has been praised by many for its responsiveness and helpfulness. So overall, I highly recommend HelloFresh over other meal kit services since they frequently take feedback from users to improve their recipes and follow global food trends, which resulted in the creation of their "Streetfood" category and their dedication to their user experience is in a league of its own.
