Imagine you start a local shoe brand because of a discussion you have with your mate around what the South African team should be wearing at the Olympics... And then imagine that you become one of the sponsors as the next Olympics rolls around?

In 2016, Nick and Ross started Veldskoen Shoes after this very chat. Four years later, they got the opportunity to dress the entire South African Olympic team with their shoes in Japan. This short clip explains how it all came about!

We have to celebrate local stories like these, and we have to do everything in our power to make sure they happen more often. There are so many local brands that are worthy of this kind of international recognition.
