It’s Earth Day Weekend and 500 volunteers are taking root to plant over 5000 trees at Morning View Food Forest, an intentionally designed permaculture farm that hopes to reconnect people to nature. PLUS, from small hydroponics operations to large scale growers, microgreens are becoming an increasingly popular crop for their flavor, and high nutritional value, plus, they’re easy to grow! THEN, Al Spoler takes a road trip to the eastern shore to experience the lush scents and delectable treats from a lavender farm on this week’s The Local Buy.
