Microgreens have become synonymous with big flavor… but now two very different size growers share a belief in the power of those tiny but mighty microgreens. We visit My Mustard Seed in Calvert county where urban farmer Tresor Thomas grows over 30 varieties in the small suburban home. Tresor believes that microgreens have helped her in her health journey… Then in Cecil county, the microgreens market is thriving at the family owned fresh source farms & market, where urban farmer Andy Mussaw is growing his micro crops, but on a macro level. Like Tresor, Andy is also a passionate believer about the health benefits of microgreens. As consumer demand increases, microgreens are becoming big business, with global sales projected to reach over three billion dollars by 2030.
