Everyday skills of the 18th century settler. In this episode of we discuss how we prepare our food stores for the winter ahead. It includes foraging in the forest for puffballs and chaga, as well as our final harvest of potatoes, turnip, cabbage and squash from our gardens. We also take a look at our new underground root cellar, its construction and ventilation. Nothing goes to waste. Peter uses a three bin composting system for augmenting the soil.
