After a mixed lead-in from the US and Europe, the Aussie sharemarket again moved forward on Wednesday. Investors await US inflation data to print later on Wednesday. The benchmark ASX 200 index finished the day higher by 24 points or 0.3% with the broader All Ordinaries index up 28.5 points or 0.35%. Today, eight of 11 industry sectors rose with iron ore and coal doing best in response to higher commodity prices. But banks and energy stocks were generally softer. And the Aussie dollar drifted higher against major currencies, trading near US66.2 cents.
