Welcome to another useful video! In today's episode, we're going to be discussing why the 2010 through 2016 w212 E-class. Is it one of the best Mercedes Benz vehicles ever made? To prove our point we have an absolutely stunning Dolemite Brown over Chestnut leather E350 4matic to look over.

Before we discuss this E-class in detail further, let's talk about its predecessors. Specifically the W210 eClass built from 1996 through 2002 and the w211 E-class built from 2003 to 2009.

This particular E-class is the facelifted version which was available from 2014 through 2016 in the United States. At the time of it's released, it was the most expensive mid-cycle refresh ever, custom Mercedes Benz a cool 1 billion euros. Some might say that it's hard to decipher what that 1 billion dollars went to. However, the styling is quite different than prefacelift models which were offered from 2010 through 2013.

Prior to the w212, previous Mercedes E-Class models designed and built with cost cutting measures in mind. While this helped maximize profits for Daimler, it didn't do any favors for the overall reliability of its vehicles. Therefore, the w212 was built to achieve a high level of reliability.

There were other changes as well, which included revised side skirts, front and rear bumper designs, Jewel like LED taillights, and revised headlights that were now single piece units instead of the double pod units of the prefacelift models. There were two different versions within the range - a luxury and a sport model. The sport model featured in a prominent front grill with an inlaid Mercedes-Benz logo. This inlaid Grill on the sport version was the first time Mercedes offered the E-Class without a standing star on the hood.

One reason why the w212 E-class is the best Mercedes ever produced comes down to its attention to detail and Mercedes renewed commitment to reliability and quality of components used.

This is evident from the moment that you look at it. The paint has a high luster and sheen, the body panel gaps are very small, the sheet metal feels thick and substantial, and everything you touch feels very solid. Mercedes restrained styling ethos, while admittingly not for everyone, is present here. There are certainly classy touches here. Take for example the line running down the fender to the rear gas cap. It's elegant.
