He explains why their results were damaging to popular Muslim perceptions of hadiths: Muslims had been accustomed to treating hadiths as if they were sacrosanct, like the #Quran, so it alerted them to the idea that perhaps some hadiths were not from the Prophet (peace be upon him). He explains what role #Muslims scholars have played in getting rid of fabricated hadiths, including Mohammad Hashim Kamali and Dr. Yuquf al-Qaradawi. He expresses optimism that scholars today can compile new collections of hadiths that we can feel confident about and that will guide us in our daily lives.
