In the French overseas department of Mayotte, authorities have opened a second cholera unit. The number of confirmed cholera cases now stands at 26 since mid-March. France's Regional Health Agency (ARS) has also announced a new emergency unit at the island's main hospital to ensure the care of sick individuals.
