Both Lucas the drone pilot and camera man and I were happily surprised at how nicely the drone film turned out, so we decided to give it another go. In the previous video it was my cool and experienced Skye who moved the sheep. Seeing from above how much work he effortlessly does to keep things flowing so smoothly, I got curious to see how my young bitch, Jan, would handle a similar task, so the next troupe movement Lucas got his drone again and now it was Jan's turn to do the work. This time I was lazy and followed in the car, as I usually do.

This route is a bit technically easier than what Skye did in the previous video (unfortunately the traffic light was green, so I didn't get to try Jan's heading stop 😆), but this move is much longer (it was over 25 minutes of work in total; I edited the video to keep what was most interesting and nice to watch), and there were some unexpected challenges (look out for the dog "attacking" from inside his garden, sending the sheep off course, and the neighbour's sheep coming to say hello when we pass their field).

I think Jan handled everything well and she worked calmly till we arrived at our destination, so I'd say she's ready for more challenging work. I can't wait for trials to start up again so I finally get to try her on unknown sheep and fields! 😊

Big thank you to Lucas Vanmuysen again for filming!
