Unveiled during the 2019 Finali Mondiali Ferrari, the 488 Challenge Evo introduces some big aerodynamics changes compared to the 'non-Evo' version (front bumper, rear air vents behind the wheel arches, flaps under the mirrors) plus the possibility of modifying the front load independently from the rear load , so that the driver can set up the balance without having to change the ride height. The driver can select different configurations ranging from high downforce to low downforce before each race, depending on the circuit’s characteristics and the weather conditions. The car’s electronic differential, anti-lock brakes, and traction control system have all been upgraded and new Pirelli tyres has been added too. The interior features a conceptually different kind of steering wheel, developed from the experience gained with the FXX-K Evo and the 488 GTE. The engine remains the same of the 'standard' 488 Challenge, derived from the road-legal 488 GTB: a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine able to produce 670hp and 760 Nm of torque.
