Senior Road Test Editor Mike Hanley checked out the all-new 2024 Porsche Macan EV at the 2024 New York International Auto Show. Sporting dual-motor all-wheel drive, the all-electric Porsche SUV can rocket from 0-60 mph in just over three seconds — at least in its top, 630-horsepower “Turbo” (our quotation marks) trim. Porsche fans and owners will recognize the Macan EV’s styling as an evolution of the gas-powered Macan, and its interior should look and feel familiar, too. Those ready to make the switch from gas to electrons in their Macan will pay a pretty penny, with prices starting at more than $80,000 and escalating to over $106,000, but the (relatively) more affordable gas version will soldier on for at least a little while longer.
