Fairbanks Morse H-12-44 switch locomotive Southern Pacific 1487 -- which was formerly US Army 1847 -- is seen in service in scenic Niles Canyon, California between Niles and Sunol, on the rear end of an excursion train pulled by Southern Pacific 2472.
