This is a Motormouth couple car review of the updated 2024 Nissan Versa subcompact budget-friendly sedan. What’s New? The 2024 Nissan Versa gets a refresh to its front-end styling, there’s additional available technology like wired Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, a larger 8” touchscreen, new Nissan brand logos to the exterior and interior, the SV model has a new 17” wheel design and a new available paint colour, Grey Sky Pearl.
The 2024 Nissan Versa gets 7.4L/100 km, 32 MPG city and 5.9L/100 km, 40 MPG highway.
The 2024 Nissan Versa is FWD and has a 1.6L 4-cylinder matched to a CVT with 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. In the US, the base model comes standard with a 5-speed manual transmission and an available CVT. The manual is not available in Canada.
With a full tank of regular fuel, you will get about 608 km/378 miles to every fill.
The 2024 Nissan Versa doesn’t have a lot of power but as a daily commuter the power is sufficient in the city and when cruising on the highway. When you accelerate quickly to pass on the highway, it is going to take some planning.
Standard features include, a 7” touchscreen, a 4-speaker audio system. 6-way manual driver seat, 4-way manual passenger seat, cloth upholstery, manual climate control,
15” wheels, a temporary spare tire, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning and rear automatic braking and high beam assist.
We are driving the 2024 Nissan Versa SR model with an upgraded cloth interior, orange accents and stitching. It has the larger touchscreen with wired Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, a heated steering, a 7” driver display, remote start and a 6-speaker audio system.
There is one feature we are missing and that’s the heated steering wheel but for the price you can’t have everything.
In Canada, the 2024 Nissan Versa starts at $22,397 CAD, SV $24,097 CAD and SR $25,397 CAD.
In the US, S Manual the 2024 Nissan Versa $16,130 USD, S CVT $17,800 USD, SV $19,420 USD and SR $20,140 USD.
