Sicario came out in 2015, was directed by Denis Villeneuve and written by Taylor Sheridan. Sheridan will be/has written the sequel Sicario: Day of the Soldado, whereas Villeneuve unfortunately won't be directing. Benicio del Toro will also be reprising Alejandro, but Emily Blunt's character Kate won't be appearing.
