Coach Nicole knows what it’s like to have the cards stacked against you…but she also knows the value of choice and that those circumstances don’t define you.  Her foundational adolescent years were ripe with struggle that could have left her bitter and angry but her desire to rise up was uncovered when an angel of a teacher stepped in and introduced her to the sport of volleyball.


Surviving homelessness, abuse at the hands of her family, extensive PTSD, and heavy bouts of therapy to get herself to a place of wholeness, Nicole persevered to piece herself back together.  She kept moving and found what would eventually be her life’s path through that struggle.  She knows that without this sport, her life direction would have taken a much different turn.






Learning to flow with her life has created multiple options for Coach Nicole.  She had no idea that she would end up coaching and mentoring both young and professional volleyball players as she does now while she was in the midst of recovering from the trauma that she endured for so many years.  But nonetheless, she learned to listen to the whispers in the opportunities that found their way to her door and she made the most of what she was being offered, even at her lowest points.  






Nicole’s desire to help teach and guide others was born out of those tragedies and her tenacity for digging in and doing life from a place of positivity and hope is a source of light for those that she comes in contact with.  Healing and a successful life and mission are totally possible…Coach Nicole is living proof!
