THIS COULD BE THE FRIENDLIEST PORT IN THE PHILIPPINES! Way down south of Palawan you will find Buliluyan Port, the gateway to Balabac Island!

It was so chilled driving down the coast of Rizal. Our first random stop found us exploring a massive coastal beach. But this giant beach was full of dried fish! They were literally everywhere! Clearly a big industry in this part of Palawan. After exploring the coast, we make our way across to Bataraza and find ourselves stopping for a snack in the mining barangay of Rio Tuba.

After a quick bite to eat, we drive all the way to the south, and start looking for a boat to Balabac. With nothing available during the day, we crash at a local resort called "Sun Seas Beach Resort". The staff were great, and the vibes all around the port area were wonderful. I enjoyed chatting with the locals, and scoring some fresh fish to eat for dinner.

This really is a rural area of Palawan...

Bring on the boat to Balabac!
